GOODMAN – The Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats posted its second straight lopsided victory of the young season.
JCJC overwhelmed Holmes Community, 94-46, here Monday night at Frank Branch Coliseum.
Last week, the Lady Bobcats beat Alabama Southern, 88-48.
K.K. Tassin (Terry) had 18 points and 8 rebounds, while
Nique Cherry (Heidelberg) had 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Tatyana Lofton (Madison-Ridgeland Academy) had 13 points,
Myyah West (Prentiss) had 12 points and
Juliet Esadah (Warri, Nigeria) had 11 points and 7 rebounds.
Patrice Tate (Velma Jackson) added 10 points,
Kyle Felton (Lithonia, Georgia) had 9 and
Zan Ratcliffe (West Jones) finished with 6 points.
JCJC led 22-15 after the first quarter, 51-30 at halftime and outscored Holmes 43-16 in the second half.
Kamelia Lacy had 11 points for Holmes, 0-2.
The Lady Bobcats, 2-0, host Baton Rouge Community College (Louisiana) at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 15 at A.B. Howard Gymnasium. They host Itawamba on Nov. 17.
Holmes hosts Arkansas State-Mid-South on Thursday.
