SUMMIT – The 11
th-ranked Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats recorded a 5-0 decision over Southwest here Tuesday afternoon.
JCJC earned its eighth shutout of the season and solidified its hold on the South Division lead. The Lady Bobcats have outscored their opponents 55-5 through 10 games.
The Lady Bobcats are now 9-1 overall and 6-0 in the division.

Kelly Stubbington (London, England) got the game off to a quick start with a goal in the 3
rd minute off a
Mary Kate Smith (South Jones) assist. Stubbington then assisted
Mattie Mills (South Pontotoc) in the 20
th minute.
Ashleigh Lewis (London, England) scored in the 42
nd minute and
Shannon Durkin (Barnsley, England) scored in the 44
th minute off a Mills' assist to give JCJC a 4-0 halftime lead.
Lewis scored the only second half goal in the 62
nd minute off a Stubbington assist.
Mia Holmes (Brandon) was in goal for JCJC in the first half and had one save.
Caroline Runion (Madison Central) played the second half.
Southwest drops to 2-11 overall, 1-5 in the division.
JCJC returns home for another division match at 5 p.m. Friday against Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Southwest visits Meridian on Friday.
