WESSON – The Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats had no trouble with Copiah-Lincoln on the pitch here Tuesday.
The Lady Bobcats scored seven goals in the first half and went on to post a 12-1 decision over the Lady Wolves.
JCJC is now 5-0 overall, 4-0 in the MACJC South Division. Co-Lin falls to 0-4 and 0-3.
Traci Monroe scored four goals and had one assist for the Lady Bobcats, while
Lindy Tabor had two goals and two assists.
Kelly Stubbington scored the opening goal off an assist by
Abby Taylor at the 9:11 mark. Monroe then got her first goal at 13:12 via a Tabor assist to make it 2-0.
Co-Lin got on the board at 15:51 when Krystal Taylor scored.
Monroe's goal at 17:48 made it 3-1 and Tabor assisted Monroe at 20:39 and made it 4-1.
Kelsey Hannaford then assisted Tabor at 24:58 to make it 5-1.
Abbey Graham then passed to
Dallas McKinnon who scored at 34:42 and
Marcie Napier's unassisted goal at 40:53 ended the first half scoring.
Stubbington then started the second half scoring at 48:07 off an assist by McKinnon to make it 8-1.
Leticia Kyomukama's penalty kick goal at 66:08 made it 9-1 and Kyomukama assisted Tabor at 71:08 to make it 10-1.
Rylee Sullivan scored at 80:39 off a Monroe assist and Monroe scored the game's final goal came at 82:06 off an assist by Sullivan.
Holly Pike was in goal for the Lady Bobcats in the first half and
Mackenzie Shows played the second half.
The Lady Bobcats were credited with 41 shots, including 31 shots on goal, while Co-Lin was credited with one shot on goal.
The Lady Bobcats host Pearl River in a South Division showdown at 5 p.m. on Friday.
Co-Lin travels to Meridian on Friday.
