ELLISVILLE – The Jones County Junior College Bobcats did not lose a set in blanking the Hinds Eagles 9-0 here Thursday afternoon at the Howard Sports Complex Tennis Courts.
JCJC improves to 2-1 and will host East Central at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Eric Swisher beat Aaron Gray and Austin Pevey in No. 1 doubles, 8-5.
Josiah Lim and
Austin Baskin won No. 2 doubles over Melvin McNair and Robert Rhett, 8-2.
Robert Kiewit and
Josh Hester blanked Peter Bethea and Kyle Burton 8-0 in No. 3 doubles.
Lightsey defeated Gray 6-1, 6-1 in No. 1 singles and Lim beat Pevey 6-3, 6-0 in No. 2 singles. Swisher downed Rhett in No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-3. Baskin blanked McNair 6-0, 6-0 in No. 4 singles and Kiewit shut out Burton in No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Hester defeated Bethea in No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0.

Taylor Tamberg beat JaMarcus Burns 6-1, 6-1 and Tamberg defeated Jesse Stevens, 6-0, 6-2.
The Eagles are 0-3 on the season and will host Holmes on Friday.
