ELLISVILLE – The Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats forced 31 turnovers en route to a 78-59 victory over the Wallace State Community College-Hanceville (Alabama) Lions here Friday afternoon at A.B. Howard Gymnasium.
The Lady Bobcats improve to 4-2 with the win, while Wallace State – which participated in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament last year – drops to 1-5.

Wendion Bibbins led four JCJC players in double figures with 20 points.
Hanah Lott added 13, while
Zan Ratcliffe and
Aliyah Bell added 10 each.
Myyah West had six rebounds and Bell added five for the Lady Bobcats. Lott had six steals and Bibbins had five.
Ashailee Brailey had six assists.
Wallace State led 7-3 midway through the first quarter when JCJC went on a 10-0 run and took the lead for good. Lott's steal and layup gave JCJC a 13-7 lead. The Lady Bobcats were up 17-13 after the first quarter.
Brailey's 18-footer gave Jones a 27-15 lead with 6:14 left in the second quarter and Lott's basket off a Bibbins' assist put the Lady Bobcats ahead 32-20 with 3:10 left in the first half. JCJC would lead 35-26 at halftime.
Bell's basket with 5:48 left in the third quarter gave JCJC a 41-30 lead. But the Lions fought back and pulled within 45-41 with 2:15 left in the third quarter when Jasmine Hollis scored on a 15-footer.
But JCJC closed the quarter on a 6-0 run capped by Lott's 3-pointer with 20 seconds left to give the Lady Bobcats a 51-41 lead.
The lead never fell below double digits in the final quarter as Bibbins scored 12 of her points during that time. JCJC's longest lead came with 34 seconds left on a
Joy Powell layup.
Hollis led the Lions with 11 points.
The Lady Bobcats were 28-of-62 from the floor (7-of-20 from 3-point range) for 45 percent. JCJC was 15-of-22 from the free throw line.
Wallace State was 18-of-40 from the field (3-of-11 from 3-point range) for 45 percent. The Lions were 20-of-26 from the foul line.
The Lady Bobcats outrebounded Wallace State, 33-29.
JCJC committed 19 turnovers.
The Lady Bobcats travel to LSU-Eunice for a 4 p.m. game on Monday.
Wallace State visits Wallace State-Selma on Monday.
