DECATUR – The Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats posted a 2-0 victory over East Central here Friday afternoon.
The Lady Bobcats improved to 8-1 with the win, while East Central falls to 8-2.
The game was scoreless until 43:20 when
Rylee Sullivan scored an unassisted goal for the Lady Bobcats. JCJC's final goal came at 71:39 when
Dallas McKinnon scored off an assist by
Ashtyn Rowell.
Holly Pike played the first half and
Mackenzie Shows played the second half in goal for JCJC. Each keeper was credited with one save.
The Lady Bobcats were credited with 19 shots, 11 shots on goal. East Central had two shots on goal.
Kaitlyn Knuth was in goal for the Lady Warriors and had nine saves.
JCJC visits Meridian for a 5 p.m. match on Tuesday, while East Central hosts Hinds on Tuesday.
