ELLISVILLE – The 18^th-ranked Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats scored early and often as they crushed Copiah-Lincoln 14-0 here Friday evening at Bobcat Soccer Field.
The win lifts JCJC to 11-2 overall and 8-1 in the MACJC South Division.
The Lady Bobcats will now travel to Pearl River for a 5 p.m. match on Tuesday which will decide the MACJC South Division champion.
Kelly Stubbington and Traci Monroe each had four goals, while Ashtyn Rowell and Mattie Mills each had three assists for JCJC.
The Lady Bobcats had 42 shots, including 32 shots on goal. Co-Lin did not have a shot on goal.
JCJC's first goal came at 17:57 when Dallas McKinnon scored off a Rowell assist. Rowell assisted Monroe at 19:04 to make it 2-0. Lindy Tabor's goal at 19:30 off a Kelsey Hannaford assist made it 3-0 and Tabor assisted Monroe at 23:29 to make it 4-0.
Mills then assisted Stubbington at 38:20 and at 41:25 to give JCJC a 6-0 halftime lead.
Abby Wilson scored at 47:25 off a Kayla Satcher assist and again at 53:00 off a Mills' assist to make it 8-0.
Stubbington was assisted by Abbey Graham at 56:05 and Stubbington had an unassisted goal at 61:10 to go up 10-0. Monroe then had an unassisted goal at 74:40 to give JCJC an 11-0 lead. Ali Sullivan's unassisted goal at 81:40 made it 12-0.
Tabor scored off a Sullivan assist at 82:33 and Monroe scored off a Hannaford assist at 83:50 to end the scoring.
Mackenzie Shows was in goal for JCJC.
Co-Lin falls to 0-11-2 and 0-8-1. The Lady Wolves end the season at home on Tuesday vs. Meridian.
