PERKINSTON – The Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats lost a heartbreaking, 1-0 decision to Mississippi Gulf Coast here Tuesday night.
MGCCC got a goal from Tristan McFall on a free kick in the 57
th minute and the Lady Bulldogs held on for the victory.
JCJC dominated the game statistically.
The Lady Bobcats took 23 shots, 16 shots on goal. MGCCC took three shots, two shots on goal.
Holly Pike was in goal for the entire game for the Lady Bobcats.
JCJC is now 10-2 overall, 7-1 in the MACJC South Division. MGCCC is 6-9 and 4-5.
The Lady Bobcats host Copiah-Lincoln at 5 p.m. on Friday. It will be "Sophomore Night" and all sophomore members of the team will be recognized immediately after the game.
MGCCC goes to Meridian on Friday.
