This week’s Bobcat Athlete of the Week is Taqel Lewis.
Lewis won all of his singles matches and teamed with Diego Leal to win all of his doubles matches last week. In singles, he beat Owen Taylor of Holmes, 6-0, 6-0; Jesus Osorio of Northeast, 6-0, 6-0; and Mark Robbins of Itawamba, 6-3, 6-2.
In doubles, Lewis and Leal teamed to beat Taylor and Nick Robertson of Holmes, 8-3; Osorio and Landon Baswell of Northeast, 8-0; and Robbins and Brian Donnieal of Itawamba, 8-3.
Lewis is a freshman from Castries, St. Lucia.
