Lauren Holifield, a sophomore shortstop from New Hope, had quite a week for the No. 2 Lady Bobcats. She was 9-for-14 with five home runs, nine RBIs and five runs scored as JCJC went 4-0. In a 12-6 win over Baton Rouge on April 21, she was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. In a 9-1 win over BRCC, she was 2-for-4 with an RBI. In a 6-0 MACJC playoff win over Holmes, she was 2-for-4 with two home runs and in a 10-0 playoff win over Holmes, Holifield was 3-for-3 with two home runs and three RBIs. Holifield leads the nation with 26 home runs and is fifth in RBIs with 76.
