Dean Saul

Dean Saul begins his third year as the Bobcats' equipment director where he manages and maintains the quality and functionality of athletic equipment and apparel.

The 2002 Jones graduate handles all ordering, inventory management and distribution of all Nike apparel and gear. He was a part of the Bobcats' last football conference title in 2001.

Saul ensures the safety and performance of athletes by providing well-maintained equipment and facilitating the logistics of equipment distribution and control. He provides support to all sport programs to assist with their equipment needs and requirements.

Saul came to Jones in May 2023 after nine years as the assistant athletic equipment manager at Mississippi State working with football and men's and women's basketball. Prior to that he spent six years at Southern Methodist University with football and men's and women's soccer.

While at MSU in 2014, the Bulldog football team rose to No. 1 in the country for the first time in school history under QB Dak Prescott.

Saul had the privilege of working Super Bowl XLV in 2011 where the Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 31-25, and Aaron Rodgers was named Super Bowl MVP. He also worked the 2009 and 2012 Hawai'i Bowl in his time at SMU. 

The Laurel native got his bachelor's degree in sports communication from Mississippi State in 2006 and his master's in education in 2008.
