Dave Brown

Dave Brown joined the Jones men's soccer staff ahead of the 2025 season as an assistant coach.

Brown comes to Jones after two seasons as a graduate assistant at Christian Brothers University where he earned his master's degree in business administration.

The Bucs finished 11-3-4 last season and advanced to the Gulf South Conference (GSC) Semifinals after going 8-3-6 in his first year. Brown also coached Lobos Rush in Memphis during his two seasons. 

Brown arrived in Memphis after graduating from Southwest Christian in May 2023 with his bachelor's in physical education, health and sports management. He helped the Eagles to the No. 1 seed in their conference tournament after going unbeaten for a program-record 14 consecutive matches in the spring 2021 season before helping as a student coach for the 2022 season. 

Born in Nairobi, Kenya, and raised in Cardiff, Wales, Brown started his time in the United States at Lassen Community College in Susanville, Calif., where his team won the Gold Valley Conference in 2017 and then transferred to Oklahoma Baptist.

While in Oklahoma, Brown was part of the boys coaching staff of Puntnam City and Piedmont High School where he was overseeing the development and improvement of the JV team while assisting with the varsity team at both programs. Brown started his club coaching at Oklahoma Rangers FC with numerous teams from academy to competitive. He currently holds his US Soccer National D Coaching License and Football Association of Wales C certificate.

Before moving to the United States, Brown played for Caerau Ely in the Welsh Football League Division 1 and Cardiff Corinthians in the South Wales Alliance League. Brown also led Cardiff High School to its first double Welsh Schools Cup and Cardiff & Vale School Cup in 2015.
