Ashliegh Buckley begins her third year as Jones' Sports Marketing Director.
Buckley was hired in July 2021 as the Director of Student Engagement, in the Office of Student Affairs, where she also assisted with various athletic marketing needs in that department, eventually leading to her promotion.
Buckley helps with large-scale marketing projects, poster schedules, photo shoots, graphic design and recruiting projects in the athletic department.
Prior to Jones, the Laurel native held various positions working for Erin and Ben Napier, hosts of HGTV’s Home Town, and their company Laurel Mercantile Co.
Buckley, then Badley, was a standout soccer player and state champion in track at Laurel Christian School. She scored the winning goal that led the Lions to the 2013 Mississippi Association Independent Schools state championship and was named an MAIS All-State, All-District and All-Star selection. She also claimed state titles in the 100- and 200-meter dashes her junior and senior seasons and ran on the school’s 400- and 800-meter relay teams that took first place in the 2012 state championship meet.
Buckley is a graduate of Mississippi State where she played soccer for the Bulldogs and earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing in December 2017.
She was married in May 2024 to Jones football assistant coach Slade Buckley. The couple have a newborn son, Sawyer.
