Katie Durham

Katie Durham begins her first year as an assistant coach at Jones County Junior College.
Durham was a five-year starter at Russell County High School in Seale, Alabama, and 2012 Defensive Player of the Year. She continued her career at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Florida, as a utility player in 2012-2014. Durham was a two-time All-Conference selection and was named All-State in 2014. Her freshman season, she hit .327 and led her team with 23 stolen bases. She led Gulf Coast with a .381 batting average as a sophomore and recorded a team-best 69 hits. Durham was a member of the Gulf Coast team that won a Panhandle Conference championship in 2012.
Durham continued her career at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia, as a middle infielder and third baseman for the Cougars. During her senior season she led her team with 32 stolen bases.
She graduated from Columbus State University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology with a concentration in Business Management.
Upon graduation, Durham began her coaching career at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. During her time there, she helped lead the Eagles to a 55-6 overall record, a No. 1 national ranking, a regional and district championship, and an appearance in the NJCAA National Tournament. Durham coached nine All-Region players in her lone season at Kirkwood, including five NFCA & NJCAA All-Americans.
