Previous School: Played a season at Lighthouse Christian College where he was credited with 28 tackles, 10 tackles-for-loss, 5.5 sacks, 21 hurries and one defensive touchdown...the Makos went 9-2 and advanced to the New South Athletic Conference football championship game.

High School: Played for head coach Jeff Kelly at Saraland (Ala.)...helped the Spartans to a 13-1 record, 6A Region 1 championship and AHSAA 6A State Championship runner-up finish his senior year.

Personal: Son of Houston Owens Sr., a former Bobcat basketball player in the early 2000's...has two younger siblings, Harrison (13) and Haleigh Owens (15)...nickname is "Nuke"...hobbies include playing video games, listening to music and working out...diehard Alabama fan...studying computer science...born November 22, 2006.
