Prior to Jones: Redshirted his true freshman season at Southern Miss...member of the school's Spring 2023 AD Honor Roll List.  

High School: Played for head coach Scott Pierson at West Jones...missed his senior season with an injury...as a junior, registered 814 receiving yards with seven touchdowns and added 34 tackles with three interceptions and nine pass breakups...named All-Region 3-5A First Team and was a preseason all-state pick...played on the 2020 state championship squad that beat West Point 33-27 in the Class 5A title contest...collected 791 yards receiving and six touchdowns that season.

Personal: Son of Melissa Nixon....brothers Michael (27), Mike (26), Malcom (24) and twin sister Mya (20)...enjoys fishing...relatives Wardalis Ducksworth and Eugene Sims played at Jones...Ducksworth went on to play at Memphis...Sims went on to play for West Texas A&M and the St. Louis Rams...studying sports management...born December 9, 2003.
