High School: Played for head coach Bobby Bass at Newton County...helped the Cougars to a 12-1 finish, district championship and playoff appearance last season...racked up 394 tackles, 67 tackles-for-loss and 36 sacks over his high school career...his team made the playoffs every year...first team all-state and 4A Most Valuable Linebacker...ranked the 16th-best player in MHSAA 4A...selected for Bernard Blackwell North/South All-Star Game...also played basketball.
