ELLISVILLE – A five-run fifth inning keyed No. 4 Jones College to a 7-2 win over No. 10 Kirkwood (Iowa) in game one of a doubleheader here Monday at Community Bank Park/Gwen Magee Field.
The Eagles came back to win game two, 4-2.
The Bobcats (7-1) will head to Gulf Shores, Ala., this weekend to play in the Coastal Alabama Coyote Classic. Jones meets Enterprise State and Gulf Coast State on Friday. They will play Southern Union State and No. 15 Central Alabama on Saturday.
Kirkwood (2-4) continues its swing through Mississippi with games at Hinds on Friday, Meridian on Saturday and Holmes on Sunday.

Madison Sawyer (Saraland, Ala.) scattered six hits and struck out six as she improved to 3-0.
Jones took a 1-0 lead in the third when
Claire Andersen (Wayne Academy) singled, stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on an
Addy Shorter (Oxford) single.
The Bobcats sent 10 players to the plate in the fifth.
Logan Mansur (Walker, La.) singled, Andersen reached on a fielder's choice and
Laney Little (Mize) and Shorter walked to load the bases.
Mary Kimble Price (Kosciusko) walked to force in a run, Sawyer singled a run home and
Chloe Jenkins (Brandon) cleared the bases with a double to right-center to make it 6-0.
Reese Stockman homered for the Eagles in the top of the sixth to make it 6-1.
In the bottom of the sixth, Andersen singled, stole second and scored on a Price single to make it 7-1.
Kirkwood's Breckin De La Rosa hit a solo home run in the top of the seventh to close the scoring.
Jenkins doubled, singled twice and had three RBIs. Andersen and Shorter each had two singles and Price, Sawyer and Mansur added singles.
Starter Ada Wood went 4.2 innings, allowed six runs, eight hits, struck out three and took the loss.
Kirkwood 4, Jones 2
The Bobcats scored a pair of unearned runs to start the game, but that was all they could muster vs. Kirkwood's Libby Trewin.
Andersen and Little singled to start the bottom of the first and Shorter reached on an error when a deep fly ball to left field was dropped, allowing Andersen to score. Another error on a ground ball made it 2-0
The Eagles took the lead with three runs in the fifth inning. After a pair of walks, Mischa Reiners had an RBI double and Alley Gorsh tied it with an RBI groundout. De La Rosa's RBI single made it 3-2.
Kirkwood added a run in the seventh when Reiners reached on an error and scored on another De La Rosa single.
In the bottom of the seventh, Jones had two runners on base with one out, but a double play ended the game.
Morgan Landry (New Roads, La.) went the distance and took the loss for the Bobcats, falling to 1-1. She allowed only four hits, four runs (three earned), walked six and struck out six.
Andersen doubled and singled twice with Shorter adding a double and Little a single.
Trewin allowed no earned runs, five hits, walked one and struck out seven.
De La Rosa had two singles, Reiners doubled and Stockman singled for Kirkwood.
