ELLISVILLE – Seven former Bobcats will soon be inducted into the Jones College Athletics Hall of Fame.
Jerred Clark, Paul Culliver, Tonya Jones, Sharon Pendarvis Murray, Anna Kathryn Howard Ozmint, Andrew Pierce and Bruce Strickland comprise the 2025 Hall of Fame class.
There will be a banquet on Thursday, Sept. 11 at 5 p.m. in A.B. Howard Gymnasium in honor of the inductees.

The group will be recognized at halftime of the football game between the Bobcats and Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Clark played soccer at Jones in 2004-05 and was the team's leading scorer as a sophomore and second-leading scorer as a freshman. He helped the Bobcats to an MACJC South Division championship and a conference and Region 23 runner-up finish in 2004.
Culliver played football and ran track at Jones from 1979-81. The 1979 Bobcats went 9-3 and won the MACJC championship. The 1980 team was 9-3 and played for the conference championship.
Jones attended JC on a softball scholarship and played on one of the final slow-pitch teams in 1999. She is now a successful businesswoman in the Birmingham, Ala., area.
Murray played basketball in 2002-04 with the 2004 team finishing as conference runner-up. She has been head coach of the West Jones High School girls' team since 2010-11, guiding the Lady Mustangs to a 270-97 (.790) record and the 2023 MHSAA 5A championship.
Ozmint was on the 2017 MACCC and Region 23 Tournament championship women's soccer team. Ozmint was named All-MACCC as the Bobcats went 9-3-2 and became the first Jones' women's soccer team to win back-to-back conference titles.
Pierce was 21-5 as a pitcher during his time as a baseball Bobcat in 2010-11. He was 10-2 as a freshman and led Jones to a 38-12 record and the MACJC South Division title. As a sophomore Pierce was 11-3 leading the Bobcats to a 46-17 record and a runner-up finish in the NJCAA Division II World Series in Enid, Okla. He was an NJCAA All-American in 2011.
Strickland played football in 1978-79 helping the Bobcats to back-to-back conference championships. The Bobcats were 10-2 in 1978 and played Kilgore College (Texas) in the Garland (Texas) Bowl. The 1979 team finished 9-3. Strickland was All-MACJC and JC Gridwire All-American as a defensive tackle in 1979.
Started in 2007, the Jones College Athletics Hall of Fame will rise to 79 total members.
