BAY MINETTE, Ala. – Home runs were aplenty Tuesday afternoon at Coastal Alabama-South.
Jones smashed six home runs, with
Makynlie Jones and
Emma Moore hitting the first of their collegiate careers in the second game.
Jones won the opener 12-0 in five innings and the finale 10-1 in five.
The Bobcats travel to Itawamba Community College Sunday, March 3 to face No. 13 Wallace State and No. 11 Des Moines Area.

Jayden Sawyer,
Brooklynn Montana and
Emily Mizelle each hit two-run homers and
Reanna Nieman tossed a complete-game four-hitter in the run-rule victory.
Mizelle's double in the first got the scoring started, followed a few batters later by Sawyer's homer to quickly make it 3-0 after one.
Leading 7-0 after three, Montana and Mizelle each homered in the fifth to put the run-rule in effect.
Nieman struck out five, walked three and allowed no runs in five innings to move to 7-1.
Moore and Mak. Jones had two hits apiece.

Sawyer followed up Nieman's four-hitter with a two-hitter and Moore and Mak. Jones hit their first home runs for another run-rule.
Jones scored four in the first off RBI-singles from Sawyer and Jones and
Kaleigh Steverson's two-run double.
Mak. Jones hit a two-run shot to center in the third, Moore a two-run homer in the fifth and Mizelle a solo shot in the fifth to make quick work of the Coyotes.
Coastal's lone run of the day came of Kaylin Finch's RBI-double in the third.
Seven Bobcats combined for 13 hits. Sawyer had three, Moore had three, Steverson two and Mak. Jones two.
Sawyer struck out five, walked two and allowed two hits to move to 5-2.
