Four different Bobcats score in 5-0 shutout of East Central

ELLISVILLE – Four different Bobcats found the back of the net, including Yussef Hakmaoui twice, as No. 2 Jones defeated East Central 5-0 Friday night.

The Bobcats improved to 8-0, 5-0 in the MACCC while EC fell to 2-4 and 2-3 in conference play. 

Taylor Richardson got Jones on the board in the 16th minute off a Denim Lombard assist and the rout was on. 

Richardson would assist Samuel Hadley's goal in the 34th minute to make it 2-0 Jones.

Hakmaoui scored twice in the second half and Kelton Keene scored on a diving header in the 67th minute on a Hakmaoui corner.

Jones owned a 25-6 shot advantage.

Tyler Harris had two saves in 65 minutes of work. Griffin Bailey wasn't tested the final 25.

Jones heads to Itawamba Friday, Oct. 7 for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
