WESSON – Caragan Childs scored in the match's first three minutes and Kendyl Terrell posted a hat-trick as No. 7 Jones blasted Co-Lin, 12-1, in the regular season finale for both teams.

The Bobcats extended their winning streak to nine to improve to 11-1 overall. They'll be the south's No. 1 seed in next week's MACCC/Region 23 Tournament in Perkinston.

Six different Bobcats scored in the first half as Jones took a 7-1 lead at the break. Childs, Bekah Baugh, Terrell, Kaylee Chennault, Zylah Mulligan and Acacia Rodriguez all found the back of the net.

Co-Lin's lone goal came in the 38th minute by Charlotte Lammiman.

Taylor Glascoe scored 2:45 into the second half and Terrell completed her hat-trick with two goals in the final two minutes to make it 12-1.

Jones fired off 25 shots, 17 on net.

Baylee Boyette got her first collegiate start between the posts, allowing one goal with two saves for the win. Abigayle Green closed out the final 45 minutes.

Jones will play the winner of East Central/Pearl River on Saturday, May 22 in Perkinston. Time is TBD.
