MERIDIAN – Jones College whipped Meridian 7-2 here Friday afternoon at the Northeast Park Tennis Center.
The Bobcats are now 3-0 and will host Southwest at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Eagles, 0-3, go to Holmes on Monday.
Jones opened the match taking two of the doubles' points.
Gaspar Meda (Argentina) and
Trey Hilton (Pearl) blanked Taylor Jefcoat and Colin Hartman,8-0, in No. 2 doubles.
Braxton Wallis (Brookhaven) and
John Jabour (Warren Central defeated Cainan Black and Willam Frank in No. 3 doubles, 8-2.
Nacho Vanecek (Argentina) and
Daniel Panzica (Brookhaven) fell 5-8 in No. 1 doubles to Dieter Gonzalez and Matthew Tennant.
Meda rallied past Tennant in No. 1 singles, 0-6, 6-4,10-4. Vanecek defeated Gonzalez in No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-2. Panzica whipped Jefocat in No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-1.
Greyson Parman (Warren Central) defeated Frank in No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
Ryan Myers (Madison Central) blanked Black in No. 6 singles,6-0, 6-0. Hilton dropped a 4-6, 4-6 decision to Hartman in No. 3 singles.
