ELLISVILLE – The Jones College Bobcats defeated Meridian 3-0 here Friday night at Bobcat Soccer Stadium.
The Bobcats were in control most of the game vs. the Eagles.
Justis Casey (Greene County) continued his stellar offensive play with a goal at 7:54.
The Bobcats made it 2-0 when
Jordan Cochran (George County) drilled a shot into the net after receiving a pass from
Cris Rodrigo (Northwest Rankin) at 60:49.
Chris Dempsey's (Belfast, Ireland) goal at 70:52 on a Cochran assist ended the scoring.
Callum Harley (Whitney Bay, England) went the distance in goal and recorded the win.
The Bobcats are now 4-2,2-1 in MACJC South Division play. Meridian drops to 1-2 overall, 1-1 in division play.
Jones will host Pearl River at 7 p.m. on Sept. 13 in its next game. The game will air on
JCJC.TV.
Meridian faces Mississippi Gulf Coast on Tuesday.
