Bobcats drop close decision to unbeaten Pearl River

ELLISVILLE – Jones College battled unbeaten Pearl River to the limit here Tuesday night at Bobcat Soccer Field.
But the Bobcats came up just short, 2-0.
Jones had its chances, but could never convert.
Pearl River took the lead when Bo Bowman scored on a Kealan Baggett assist at 33:29.
The Wildcats scored again with just over a minute to play at 88:37 when Jevaun Evans put the ball in the net and Mike Jimenez got the assist.
Callum Harley went the distance in goal for the Bobcats.
Jones is now 3-1 overall, 1-1 in the division.
Pearl River is 6-0 overall, 3-0 in division play.
The Bobcats resume division play at Meridian for a 7 p.m. match Friday.
The Wildcats travel to East Central on Sunday.
