ELLISVILLE – The Jones College Bobcats fell behind, but came back to defeat Northwest 3-1 here Monday evening at Bobcat Soccer Field.
Jones is now 2-0, while the Rangers are 0-2.
The Rangers took the lead at 39:32 when Joseph Hayes scored off an assist by Parker Trawick.
The Bobcats quickly tied the game at 42:56 when
Adam Stone (Oak Grove) scored with
Thomas Carlile (Athgarvan, Ireland) getting the assist.
Jones took the lead in the second half when Carlile scored at 56:18. Carlile ended the scoring at 80:04.
Callum Harley (Whitley Bay, England) was in goal for the Bobcats and was credited with four saves.
Jones outshot the Rangers 28-9 and had nine corner kicks with Northwest getting none.
Tim Houston played the whole game in goal for the Rangers and had nine saves.
Jones starts MACJC South Division play with a 3 p.m. game Saturday at Southwest.
Northwest visits Meridian Tuesday afternoon.
