RIDGELAND – The Jones County Junior College Bobcats scored four goals in the final 15 minutes and blanked Holmes 4-0 here Wednesday evening.
The game was scoreless until the 75^th minute.
Jonathon Taylor (Stone) scored off a Davis Gibson (Sacred Heart) assist to make it 1-0. Gibson then assisted Taylor in the 85^th minute. Lucas Middleton (Hemsworth, UK) scored in the 86^th minute off a Callum Dougan (Ballynahinch, Ireland) assist. Thomas Carlile (Athgarvan, Ireland) got the final goal in the 89^th minute off an assist by Glenn Waters (Dungarvan, Ireland).
Michael Godley (Starkville) was in goal for the entire 90 minutes and got the save.
The Bobcats are now 4-5-1 on the season, while Holmes falls to 2-5.
JCJC resumes South Division play with a 7 p.m. match at Mississippi Gulf Coast on Tuesday. The Bobcats will host Southwest on Oct. 6 in their final home match of the season.
Holmes will host Southwest on Friday.
