RAYMOND – Hinds edged Jones County 2-1 in a soccer match here Friday night at Tom Shepherd Field.
The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the 21
st minute.
JCJC tied the match in the 58
th minute when
Thomas Carlile (Athgarvan, Ireland) scored with
Jonathon Taylor (Stone) getting the assist.
Hinds got the eventual game-winning goal in the 70
th minute.
Hudson Matheny (Starkville) was in goal for the Bobcats.
JCJC, 1-1, visits Northwest for a 3 p.m. match on Tuesday.
The Bobcats open MACJC South Division play at 7 p.m. on Friday at home against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
