ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College opened MACJC South Division play on a successful note.
JCJC scored two second half goals and shut out Meridian Community College 2-0 here Saturday afternoon at Bobcat Soccer Field.
JCJC has won two straight and is now 2-2 overall, 1-0 in the division. Meridian falls to 1-3 and 0-1.
Braxton Taylor, a freshman from Northeast Jones, was in goal for the Bobcats and recorded his second straight shutout.

JCJC scored its second goal at 89:40 when Mobile, Alabama, freshman
Moses Muhubao put the ball in the net off an assist by Gulfport sophomore

The Bobcats resume division play with a 4 p.m. match at Southwest Mississippi on Tuesday.
Meridian travels to Pearl River on Tuesday.
