POPLARVILLE – Jones County Junior College ended regular season play with a 3-0 loss to Pearl River Community College here Tuesday night.
The Bobcats are now 7-6-1 overall and end up third in the MACJC South Division with a 5-4-1 mark.
JCJC will now play at the North No. 2 team – Northwest – at a time to be determined on Tuesday in an MACJC/Region 23 Tournament quarterfinal game. The winner of that game will head to the MACJC/Region 23 Tournament Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at Hinds Community College in Raymond.
Pearl River scored all of the game's goals in the first 16 minutes on Tuesday with Tyler Polderman, Sam Lawson and Romar Smith scoring for the Wildcats.
PRCC is now 13-2 and went a perfect 10-0 in division play. The Wildcats will draw a bye and advance to the MACJC/Region 23 Tournament semifinals.
