PERKINSTON – Mississippi Gulf Coast defeated Jones County Junior College 3-1 here Tuesday night in men's soccer action.
The Bobcats fall to 6-5-1 overall, 4-3-1 in MACJC South Division play. The Bulldogs are now 11-4 and 6-2.
MGCCC scored in the first half on a goal by Lewis Tillman and an assist by Juan Salazar. Salazar scored early in the second half to make it to 2-0 and Cordarius Williams scored in the 71^st minute to make it 3-0.
JCJC's goal came in the final minutes when Rodolfo Lopez scored off an assist by Moses Muhubao.
JCJC will entertain Copiah-Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. It will be "Sophomore Night" and all sophomore members of the team will be recognized before the game at approximately 7 p.m.
Mississippi Gulf Coast visits Meridian on Friday.
