This week’s Lady Bobcat Athlete of the Week is Raquel Rodriguez.
Rodriguez, who goes by "Rachel", won all of her matches in doubles and singles last week. In singles, she beat Allie Fudge of Holmes, 6-0, 6-1; Annie Tumbleson of Northeast, 6-0, 6-0; and Jordan Roberts of Itawamba, 6-3, 6-4.
She teamed with Madison Currie to win doubles matches over Fudge and Kaylan Cooper of Holmes, 8-0; Tumbleson and Starla Rogers of Northeast, 8-1; and Itawamba’s Roberts and Ivy Robbins, 8-3.
Rodriguez is a freshman from Seville, Spain.
