Erick Hoard, a freshman first baseman from Brandon, is this week's Bobcat Athlete of the Week.
His top performance came in a 6-5 victory over Kaskaskia College (Illinois) on Feb. 28 where he had a solo home run and drove in the game-winning run with a single in the bottom of the seventh inning. He also homered in a 10-8 victory over Jefferson Davis Community College (Alabama) on Feb. 25.
For the week, he had two home runs, three singles, five RBIs and scored four runs.
