Tatyana Lofton is this week's Women's Athlete of the Week.
Lofton, a 5-foot-9 freshman guard from Madison-Ridgeland Academy, averaged 21.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steal per game as the Lady Bobcats went 2-0 last week and wrapped up the No. 2 seed in the South Division.
In a crucial, 71-66 victory at Southwest, Lofton had 28 points on 9-of-22 shooting (2-of-6 from 3-point range) and 8-of-10 from the free throw line. She also had eight rebounds and four assists.
In a 71-58 victory over Hinds, she had 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and 1-of-1 from the foul line. She had four rebounds, two assists and two steals in that game.
She was also named the MACJC Player of the Week.
