Patrick Ponder, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound sophomore from Bay St. Louis, was named an NJCAA All-American first-team. He led the NJCAA and the MACJC in punting with a 43.1 yards per kick average on 54 punts. He had a season’s best kick of 82 yards vs. East Central and had 14 punts that went inside the opponents’ 20-yard line. 
He was also chosen to the All-MACJC first-team and All-Region 23 teams.
Ponder was also named the MACJC Special Teams Player of the Week twice and the NJCAA Special Teams Player of the Week once this season.
