Baseball player Daniel Goff is this week's Bobcat Men's Athlete of the Week.
He has also been named the MACJC and NJCAA Division II National Pitcher of the Week.
Goff, a sophomore right-hander from George County, was the starter and winner in a 10-1 win by the 11th-ranked Bobcats over Jefferson College (Missouri) Feb. 14 in Meridian. He went six innings, struck out 11, walked one and allowed seven hits. For the season, Goff is 2-0 with a 1.50 earned run average.
The 7-1 Bobcats host Mississippi Delta at 2/4:30 p.m. on Feb. 20 and Lincoln Trail College (Illinois) at noon/2:30 p.m. on Feb. 21.
