Taylor Murray, a sophomore from Parklane Academy, is this week's Lady Bobcat Athlete of the Week.Â
Murray was 7-for-13 with three home runs, 12 RBIs, scored nine runs and had two steals as the top-ranked Lady Bobcats went 4-0 last week.
She had 10 RBIs in a doubleheader sweep of Mississippi Delta.
In a 24-1 win over MDCC, Murray had a grand slam, five RBIs and scored four runs. In a 16-0 win over the Lady Trojans, she was 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and five RBIS. In a 7-2 victory over Hinds, Murray was 3-for-4 with two home runs, two RBIs and three runs scored.
For the season, Murray leads the MACJC and is second in the nation in RBIs with 49. She is second in the MACJC and tied for eighth in the nation in home runs with nine. She also has 17 stolen bases, which is sixth in the MACJC and 20th nationally.
