Fred Franklin, a sophomore centerfielder from West Lauderdale, is this week's Bobcat Athlete of the Week.
In an 8-5 win over No. 14 East Mississippi, he was 5-for-6 with a home run, double and three singles. His three-run home run tied the game at 5-5 in the fifth inning. He then went 3-for-3 with three singles as the Bobcats completed the sweep with a 3-1 victory.

For the week, he was 8-for-9 (an .888 batting average) with four runs scored.
Franklin has already signed with Southern Miss.
